For the past five years, it's served as the home of Parks Superintendent Eddie Bird. He says it's old and falling apart.

The city department of redevelopment will seek bids for the demolition.

Once the house is gone, the plan is to make a trailhead.

It'll be a place where people can park their cars and get on the trail from there.
