Vincennes Police use Taser to stop burglary suspect

Vincennes Police say they used a Taser to stop Andre Hardy after he fled on foot and got into a physical altercation with police. He's a suspect in a Wednesday morning burglary.

A burglary suspect is facing even more charges after running away from police.

Andre Hardy is in jail for resisting law enforcement, burglary and drug charges.

Vincennes Police say they used a Taser to end a physical altercation with him after he fled on foot.

He's suspected of stealing a laptop, coins and jewelry from a home on Washington Avenue Wednesday morning. Those items were found in his vehicle. Police say a search of Hardy's home turned up more stolen items from other recent burglaries.

Officials say he was carrying cocain, marijuana and a large amount of cash.

He's in the Knox County Jail on $25,000 bond.
