USO of Indiana Hopes to Bring Center to Terre Haute

The USO is well known for its efforts to lift the spirits of service men and women and their families. Those efforts could be coming to the Wabash Valley in the form of a new USO center.
Members of the USO of Indiana visited the 181st Intelligence Wing to figure out ways to better support service members in the area.

The USO recognizes the challenge of reaching out to the service men and women scattered throughout the state.

But USO of Indiana Executive Director Charles Ridings hopes to eliminate that hurdle by bringing a center to our area.

"The state of Indiana has the third largest guard contingency in the nation even though we're the 16th in the nation by population. One of the difficulties we have with the USO of Indiana is reaching out to these places that are not centralized to Indianapolis."

Currently there are four u-s-o centers in the state of Indiana.

The USO of Indiana would also like to add a center down in Evansville in the future.
