SMWC Welcomes New Alumni

More than 70 women received degrees from the college Saturday.
Saint Mary of the Woods College honored members of its class of 2014 Saturday afternoon.

The graduates marched through the campus on their way to the Cecilian Auditorium, where the ceremony was held.

Inside friends, family, and two guest speakers awaited them.

More than 70 women recieved degrees from the college Saturday.

Not all of them were 20-somethings.

We caught up with a graduate who says she's 76-years young.

"The reason it took me so long because I was determined to also to not have a bill when I graduated so I was working full-time and I only took one class a semester, later on I took two. One class a semester working full time and paid off in full each semester," Maryland Morris said.

Morris graduated with a degree in occupational therapy.

She completed all her coursework online.
