Possible Hour Cuts at Historic Sites

Possible Hour Cuts at Historic Sites

Some historic locations in Illinois are facing possible hour cuts in order to save money.
The budget for the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency has been trimmed by more than one-million dollars.

This is causing cuts in hours for sites around the state.

Officials hope to keep the current hours through labor day, in order to accommodate people who have travel plans.

The agency will try to maintain visitor hours as much as it can at popular sites, like those involving Abraham Lincoln.

A lot of school groups visit those sites, and plan their trips months in advance.
