Snow is on the way with a Winter Storm Warning now in place for the Valley from midday today-midday tomorrow. Snow showers may edge into our northwest counties by early afternoon with most of the viewing area not seeing snow until mid-late afternoon. Snow is the heaviest and most widespread tonight with lighter and diminishing snow early tomorrow. Accumulations around the Wabash Valley range from 3-10"; snow amounts of 6-9" along the I-70 corridor are on track with less to the south and more to the north with highest amounts nearing 10" along I-74. Some light ice (0.10-0.25") can't be ruled out for a brief period this evening for far southern counties; any ice will keep these snow amounts slightly lower. Temperatures won't fluctuate very much the next 24 hours with upper 20s today and tomorrow before the much colder air fills in by tomorrow night. We'll be near 0º by tomorrow night with a brief drier pattern to finish the work week. Another system is in the forecast for the weekend, bringing another chance of accumulating snow to the area.
