Noon Weather: February 14, 2014

Widespread Snow Showers Continue
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of the Valley until 8:00 P.M. EST tonight as another winter storm moves through today. Accumulating snow is likely, starting by late morning and lasting through late afternoon. Amounts around the area will range from 1.00" or less to our far north (along and north of I-74) to as much as 4.00" to the south. Areas along the I-70 corridor will mainly be in a 2-3" range. Most of the snow is wrapping up by early evening, so a drier but colder night is ahead as lows return to the single digits. Another brief snow opportunity arrives late in the day tomorrow with some lighter snow moving through by tomorrow evening before ending late tomorrow night. Amounts mainly around an inch or so are expected with this event. Sunday is our drier and warmer day of the weekend with mid 30s and sunshine returning. The warming trend continues through next week with 40s and eventually 50s through the work week, accompanied by a few rounds of rain.
