Dozens of Valley residents took a musical journey back in time Saturday afternoon.

The Native American Museum at Dobbs Park in Terre Haute hosted a flute circle.

Organizers say it's important for everyone to know about where they came from, and this is a great way to start.

"We always tell people if you can listen and hear it, then you can learn to play it. Is it very very simple instrument, it's based on five notes, and it's very very easy to teach people. We just enjoy sharing and teaching it," said organizer Bob DisPennett.

The flute circles are held every third Saturday of the month, at the museum in Dobbs Park.
