Another winter storm is headed for the Valley with snow moving back in by tomorrow; until then, enjoy some sunshine and dry weather today. High pressure will keep sunny sky around today with highs reaching the upper 20s and lows tonight back in the low-mid teens as clouds move back in. A Winter Storm Watch is in place for the Valley from tomorrow afternoon- Wednesday afternoon with snow and even some ice in the forecast. Snow showers will build in the western half early afternoon tomorrow before becoming more widespread by late afternoon. Snowfall amounts with this system will range from 5-9" north of I-70 to lower amounts of 2-4" across the southern half as ice accumulation will cut down on these totals. This will mainly be a snow event for areas along and north of I-70 but a mixed bag of snow and sleet are forecasted for areas south. Most precipitation pushes out by early afternoon Wednesday, but much colder air fills in as highs barely reach the teens. We get a short break from the winter elements before another winter system moves in this weekend, bringing more accumulating snow.
