Colder air continues to pour in today with lows this morning in the single digits and highs today of only around 20º; that's almost 20º BELOW average. Ample sunshine returns today with the frigid conditions as some higher pressure moves in. Wind chills are very low early this morning with values -5º to -15º and sub-zero wind chills expected through at least the first half of the day. Tonight is very cold again with lows just below 10º and wind chills around zero. A dry cold front moves through late tonight and brings slightly colder air tomorrow as highs only reach the mid teens. Temperatures rebound somewhat this weekend with 20s/30s returning and multiple snow chances starting Friday night. Though only light snow is expected Friday, a stronger winter event looks likely Sunday-Monday with a mix of winter elements in the forecast. We'll continue to monitor this important forecast as accumulation appears likely and possibly significant.
