More Details in Murder of Terre Haute Man in Florida

24-year-old Lutes was a 2008 graduate of Terre Haute South High School. He has some criminal history here in Vigo County, records show several arrests for drug and alcohol charges. Lutes went to Palm Beach Gardens for treatment, but according to court documents he hadn't checked in at his clinic since January.
One week after a Terre Haute man was found dead in Florida,  a suspect is in custody for his murder.

As we were first to tell you this weekend, Jay-Von Avery of Florida is charged with the first degree murder of Kyle Lutes.
   
Now we're starting to learn more about what led up to the fatal shooting.

His decomposed body was found on February 8.
   
A tip from the suspect's own sister led police to 21-year-old Jay-Von Avery.

Lutes was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.
   
Avery is being held without bond.
