Heating your home this winter has been costly, but relief is coming to people in Marshall, Illinois.
The city is covering a portion of the tab for gas customers.
It's a one-time reduction that will show up on bills after Feb. 10. Marshall will pay up to $250,000 toward the entire city's gas bill. The remainder will be passed along to customers.
City officials say they're able to offer some relief to customers during this brutally cold winter because they budgeted well and have hard workers.
