INDOT Getting Ready For Annual Trash Bash

The Indiana Department of Transportation is holding their annual Trash Bash from April 5th to April 27th. Crews will be picking up trash along Indiana's roadways.

Spring time means spring cleaning and the roadways are no exception. That's why the Indiana Department of Transportation is holding their annual Trash Bash.

In last year's event, crews collected more than 20,000 bags of trash from Indiana's roads.

INDOT's Trash Bash will take place from April 5th to April 27th.

Watch out for crews on the roads. Reduce your speed and use caution when crews are cleaning the roadside.

You can also participate as well by simply not littering and keeping a trash bag in your car instead of tossing it outside. You can also report areas where people have illegally dumped garbage. Just call your local transportation, public works or conservation office.
