Current Indiana state auditor Suzanne Crouch stopped by the Vigo County GOP breakfast on Saturday.

She was just appointed to the position in January by Governor Pence, and is up to for election in November.

Before serving at auditor, Crouch was an Indiana state representative, and she hopes to continue working to make the state more financially responsible.

"Every tax dollar needs to be spent with the respect and consideration of the people that are no tax dollars. Every text on that comes to government has a face and name attached to it, so my challenge and my goal is to ensure that those tax dollars are spent effectively and efficiently," said Crouch.

An Evansville native, that's where crouch began her time in politics serving as a county commissioner and also as a county auditor.

Both Crouch and Democratic candidate Mike Claytor are running unopposed in May's primary. They'll face off in the General Election this November.
