Hometown Hero - Patrick Jordan Costello

Patrick Jordan Costello is in the U.S. Air Force and has done a lot in his 10-year service. Now serving in Japan Costello has been instrumental in helping victims of two separate natural disasters.

Our latest Hometown Hero is Technical Sergaent Patrick Jordan Costello. The South Vermilliion graduate has served in the United States Air Force for ten years and is currently stationed at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan.

Sergaent Costello has been deployed to the Middle East three separate time in the last two years.

Patrick has also received numerous awards for his work in two spots that had nothing to do with combat.

Sergaent Costello did his part to help victims of Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, Mississippi. There he helped keeping hospital generators operating, at times being tethered to work in the floodwaters. He also lent a hand to help those victims of the Asian Tsunami when it struck Japan.

It's for these reasons that we are saluting Technical Sergaent Patrick Jordan Costello, our latest Hometown Hero.
