Hometown Hero - James Griffin

Hometown Hero - James Griffin

Clay County, IN native served in the Army for 6 years with two overseas duties while taking care of his family back home in Indiana.
Our latest Hometown Hero is Sgt. James Griffin. Sgt. Griffin is a graduate of Northview High School and joined the Army as a cavalry scout in October of 2008.

Soon after that he was deployed to Afghanistan with the 47-3 Cav.  82nd Airborne Division.  When he got home, he was married to Candace Griffin and they now enjoy two children.  Despite supporting his family back home, Sgt. Griffin was most recently deployed to Kosovo the 1-38th Cavalry.

Sgt. Griffin is still in the military, now stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas.  A true soldier who is not only defending his country but supporting his family back here in Indiana.  For that and more congratulations to Sgt. James Griffin, our latest Hometown Hero.
