A couple of former school leaders are facing charges for stealing from a Terre Haute school.
State police say they started investigating the former treasurer and a former board member of the Terre Haute Montessori School in December.
They arrested Angela Burch and Melisa Risley for theft Tuesday.
Police say Burch, who is the former treasurer, used three checks from the school to pay for private pills. They also say she didn't pay her child's tuition—for a total of $1754.53—even though she claims to have paid it.
Risley is a former board member at the school. She's also accused of not paying for tuition—totaling $1988.00—despite claims that she had.
Police say both have since reimbursed the school.
