Crop Your Heart Out

The day was filled with scrapbooking, all in honor of Heart Health Awareness Month. Everyone who took part made a donation, and in just a few hours, the event brought in $1,000 for the American Heart Association. Organizers say it's a unique way to raise awareness, and help.
On Saturday, dozens took part in the Crop Your Heart Out event, with volunteers filling the Hymera Ruritan Club.
   
The day was filled with scrapbooking, all in honor of Heart Health Awareness Month.
   
Everyone who took part made a donation, and in just a few hours, the event brought in $1,000 for the American Heart Association.
   
Organizers say it's a unique way to raise awareness, and help.

"Heart attacks are the number one killer of both men and women in the US so I think that this is a cause that means a lot settling me myself, but several people in the community," said event coordinator Brittany Norris.
