Concealed Carry Permit Rush Slows Down

The rush to obtain permits in Illinois is slowing down and a system without many errors is helping the process.
The rush for concealed carry permits is slowing down, as the process to get approved speeds up in Illinois.

A spokesman for the State Rifle Association says some people are getting permits within 35 days after they apply.

When the concealed carry law took effect, it made Illinois the last state in the nation to allow concealed weapons.

Between February and July, nearly 69,000 permits were issued.
