The bike bells were ringing at Saturday's second annual "Mayor's Bike Ride."

It's part of Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennet's "Mayor's Health Initative."

He wants to get pet up and moving, or in this case riding.

Riders started at Memorial Stadium and made their way to ISU before circling back.

Prior to the ride the Mayor spoke about the options for bikers looking to ride in the city.

"We want to expose people web have some people who ride on a regular basis and some who don't ride at all, we want to show them that we have 36 miles of trail that you can walk or ride your bike on and we just want to promote that as much as we possibly can," Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett said.

If bike riding isn't for you, Mayor Bennett has a variety of other activities like a nature walk in Dobbs Park or a river play day planned for this summer.
