It's a competitive rivalry that's been going on for years, and it's not just the football players who like to mix it up.

The bands are ready to show their skills and their spirit at the Terre Haute North verse South game.

Patriots and Braves both anticipate the night that North plays South.

Band members at North won't be bringing their instruments to the game, but instead, their spirit as they watch in the crowd.

The band is looking forward to their first home game.

John Williams, Terre Haute North Band Director said, "And the kids are super excited to actually get out and perform their first show and let Terre Haute North and their community and family and friends see what we've been working on."

The Patriots are tuning in their inner dark side this year, focusing on music from Dracula and Harry Potter.

"And by the end of the show our concept is everyone's going to have their soul stolen," said Williams.

But the students say the school fight song brings out the true spirit.

Adam Rice, the Assistant Band Director said, "And it's a since of passion."

And whoever ends up with taking home the win, the Patriot band will know they brought the red and blue pride.

"Both band students and non band students alike will be there to cheer on the North Patriots and hopefully we can pull out a win!" said Williams.
