Joe Hoopingarner wants everyone to experience the fun of air boating. “Terre Haute is one of the few places in the Midwest where you can ride in an air boat. You never know what you are going to see out on the river. We’ve seen eagles, turtles, deer, its so much fun,” said, Hoopingarner the owner of Joe’s Airboats Inc.

Rides are $12 for adults and $10 for children under 13 years of age. Remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Life jackets and ear protectors are supplied for you but you may want to bring sun glasses.

When you take off remember to hold on to your hats. The boat reaches speeds of upwards 40mph. Most people do not consider the ride scary and you probably won’t get wet. “Most people who ride will ride again,” said, Hoopingarner.
