17 year old crowned 2014 Voice of the Valley

Jake William Holt of Casy, Illinois is the 2014 Voice of the Valley. He won the title on Tuesday at the Vigo County Fair after doing a spot-on Elvis Presley cover.

The Wabash Valley has crowned a new king of rock and roll.

A 17-year-old who sings a killer Elvis Presley cover is the new Voice of the Valley.

Jake William Holt from Casey, Illinois won the Vigo County Fair's singing contest Tuesday night.

Our own Julie Henricks from Good Day Live served as a judge, which was a pretty tough job. The winner was decided by only one vote.

"We always try to make the fair very family friendly and this is just one of those events. We wan to make it family oriented. We can get our local community involved in this and again just say we have a lot of talent here in the Wabash Valley," says Jennifer Cook, Vigo County Fair Board.

The Voice of the Valley winner gets $500 cash and two tickets to The Voice tour.

NBC 2 is a proud sponsor of this event.
