Congressman Tours Main Streets

Congressman Dr. Larry Buschon toured towns across the Wabash Valley this week. The tour was aimed at looking at how business is doing in rural towns as a reflection of the U.S. economy.
Indiana Congressman Larry Buschon is touring rural towns this week.

The tour is a check on Main Street USA.

Buschon walked the downtown area in each community.

He met with business and retail shop owners along his walk to discuss their operations and how they're doing this holiday season.

Friday Rep. Buschon went to Linton and walked along it's main street with Mayor John Wilkes.

"This is mostly rural and small communities and Main Street is a good reflection of what's happening in the rest of the country. If people are struggling in the small rural communities around Indiana then that is a reflection of potentially what's happening with the economy in the rest of our country so we want to find out what's happening," said Rep. Buschon.

Congressman Buschon also made stops in Rockville and Terre Haute Friday.
