Congressman Bucshon Holds Job Fair In Terre Haute

Indiana Congressman Larry Bucshon held a job fair at ISU Hulman Center in Terre Haute on Wednesday. Over 60 employers were there. Bucshon says job fairs are a good way for job seekers to connect with potential employers.
Job seekers got the chance to talk to over 60 employers Wednesday thanks to a lawmaker from the Wabash Valley.

Indiana Congressman Larry Bucshon held a job fair at ISU's Hulman Center in Terre Haute.

In total, there were 1,000 jobs available to apply for.

Bucshon says job fairs are a good way for job seekers to connect with potential employers.

He also says the first hour was designated specifically for veterans, in recognition of their service to our nation.

"As most people probably know, the veteran unemployment rate is much higher than the general population. With all the employers here today, we're very hopeful we can get some people from this area back to work and find them a job, and match the employer with the employee. That's what our goal was," says Bucshon.

Bucshon hopes to hold this event every year.
