The Clay County community is looking to honor those who have served.
The veterans office is planning to build a monument for those who fought in the War on Terror.
Featured on the stone will be the names of Cpl. Gregory Stultz and Spc. Aaron Fields, who were both killed in the line of duty.
The monument will be placed on the northwest corner of the courthouse lawn.
Those involved say its just a small way to say thank you to those who serve.
"I hope that it gives a reminder of the sacrifices made not only by these gentlemen, but certainly their families as well. And I hope it's a reminder from time to time to remember the sacrifices that are made daily," said Nick French, of French Monuments.
You can help make the monument a reality, the Clay County Veterans Office is still collecting donations.
