Community Helps Team of Mercy Raise Money for Its Mission

A Valley group is using the spirit of the season to raise money for its mission.

Team of Mercy, or TOM,
hosted the Trail of the Werewolf scavenger hunt on Saturday night.

While it was a spooky and fun event, it's for a much bigger purpose.

Team of Mercy supports families who lost loved ones to suicide, providing cleaning services in those first 24 hours.

Organizers want people to know they can seek help in these situations and don't have to handle it alone.

"I lost my own father to suicide this past October of 2012, and my family and I were faced with the same dilemma and you don't realize that something like that is not offered until you go through it. So due to our own situation we found there was a need out there," said Team of Mercy founder Tammy Connor.
