College Students Get a Lesson in Leadership

It was the third annual Leadership Summit at the school. The day was all about teaching these Pomeroys how to take charge once they've left the classroom. With lessons like learning how to work with group, to overcoming gender stereotypes.
Students at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College got a lesson in leading Saturday afternoon.

Dozens of students filled the Rooney Library to hear what these experts had say.

"Leadership is an ever-changing facet of someone. We are always learning and developing, no matter what stage of life you are. Currently of college student it's highly important for us to develop our own leadership skills," said organizer Sherry Bube. "They can see where they can go forward in life, and that they too can become leaders in their own right."

The summit was free to any Saint Mary-of-the-Woods students.
   
Organizers say plans for next years event are already underway.
