Children's Museum Recognizes Ben Franklin's Birthday

This is the fourth year the Terre Haute Children's Museum has hosted the event. Kids could enjoy tofu smoothies, and learn all about forecasting the weather. And with the recent unveiling of the new $100 bill, this years party focused on teaching kids about money.
Kids across the Wabash Valley  had a chance to party with a historic figure Sunday afternoon.

It was the Ben Franklin Birthday Bash.

"He is such an important part of American history and to be able to share with students at such a young age is important it's about the negative things that he's accomplished that we may not be aware of," said organizer Katelynn Moats.  "It's just such an important part of our history and to expose them at a young age so they grow to appreciate it throughout their education."

Each kid who participated in the birthday bash was also entered to win one of the newly designed $100 bills.
