A Brazil woman is facing charges after contaminated cornbread sent almost a dozen people to the hospital.
The Brazil Times reports that Kelli Muncie Sturgeon is charged with criminal recklessness. The charges come after cornbread served at an October pitch-in dinner was blamed for making several people sick.
The dinner was held nearby, but not associated with, the Covered Bridge Festival.
The cornbread was later found to contain a powder used to make synthetic marijuana.
The Brazil Times reports that Sturgeon will be in court next month.
