One Terre Haute family,  with a love of animals, is giving back this holiday season.

Brent and Lea Tryon decided that what they wanted for Christmas this year, is bringing the holiday to animals at the Terre Haute Humane Society. So their mom created a donation drive.

Businesses around town have been collecting some everyday pet essentials, along with some toys and even cash.

And on Saturday, the family will play Santa, and deliver the donations.

They say they're proud of the community response so far, and are glad so many are taking part in their holiday wish.

"So we decided that we need to get the dogs at the shelter some Christmas," said Brent Tryon.

Jacqie Lewis added: "This is kind of making their Christmas is what I'm trying to do and I think that helping the shelter is what we have a passion for. So anything, any donation small or big is great."

"We would say if you can, can you please donate to the Terre Haute Humane Society," said Lea Tryon.

Donation drop-offs are at nine locations in Vigo County:
- Meadows Shopping Center
- Pat's Cafe
- Heritage Animal Hospital
- Riley American Legion
- Terre Haute Humane Society
- Southwest Hare Salon
- Tee Pee Tavern
- Furry Friends
- Pet Food Center
