$75,000 Worth of Marijuana Found in Sullivan County

Indiana State Police discovered 68 Marijuana plants Thursday during a routine flyover. One man has been arrested, another is still at large.
Indiana State Police discovered 68 Marijuana plants in northeastern Sullivan County Thursday.

Police arrested Charles Beaver, Jasonville, Ind., and another suspect is still at large.

Troopers were conducting a routine flyover when they spotted the plants.

After searching the property police found the plants in three plots across the land, all reaching 5 ft. to 7 ft. tall.

They also found eight pounds of processed Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

"We were conducting a routine flyover today looking for Marijuana plants in Sullivan County," said Sergeant Joe Watts. " This is the end of the growing season, plants are mature, folks begin harvesting."

The street value of the Marijuana is estimated at $75,000. Police say if you have any tips you can call 765-653-4114.
