5th Annual Ivy Tech Car Show

Despite the rain, hundreds showed up to check out the rides, and make donations. All of the money will benefit scholarship funds for the college, something that school leaders say without many students couldn't afford to graduate.
Dozens of motorist revved up their engines for education on Saturday.

The fifth annual Ivy Tech Car Show kicked off this morning
   
Despite the rain, hundreds showed up to check out the rides, and make donations.
   
All of the money will benefit scholarship funds for the college, something that school leaders say without many students couldn't afford to graduate.

"It fits with our mission. We have an autobody program here and some of our students for example are helping to judge for various prizes for our participant, but also we just have students who sometimes encounter bumps in the road of life and scholarships make all the difference in helping them to be able to succeed in school," said Anne Valentine, Ivy Tech chancellor.

First Financial Bank, along with a number of other groups, came together to help make the car show happen.
   
Last year's event raised over $20,000, and officials expect to meet that goal again this year.
