12/16/2013 4:48:00 PMStephen Ramey entered a plea agreement on Monday, admitting to attempted sexual misconduct with a minor. He was arrested in March, after police say he gave marijuana to a 14-year-old boy in exchange for sexual favors. Under the plea, Ramey was sentenced to two years in prison and two years probation.
12/16/2013 4:34:00 PMAccording to the Vigo County Sheriff's Department, the mini-van was westbound near the railroad crossing of Evans Avenue and Dwelling Road when it was hit. Ray Scheid of Terre Haute was behind the wheel. The 79-year-old was taken to the hospital with head and leg injuries. He's still listed in critical condition.

Members of the FCCLA are collecting everyday essentials, like soap and shampoo, putting them in a basket with a Christmas card, and then giving them to elderly people. There's still time for you to take part. Just drop any items or monetary donations off at West Vigo High School by the end of the school day on Friday.

So their mom created a donation drive. Businesses around town have been collecting some everyday pet essentials, along with some toys and even cash. The state is preparing to appeal the federal government's decision against declaring Howard County a major disaster area. The 36-year-old is charged with aggravated battery, and a judge has set his bond at $75,000. The victim in the incident, 34-year-old Jonathan Cox, has improved, and police say he is now conscious.
