That's according to a poll conducted by Save UHS, a group dedicated to keeping Union open. That's partially because there are three other high schools closer to Dugger, Ind. than North Central.

Officials say this project is years in the making, but they're grateful for all of the people who overcome those challenges. The new center will also host the Pomeroy Wellness Program for on-site health screening and education for the community. It's set to be open by this time next year.

Now in its second year, Giving Tuesday had more than 2,500 partners across the U.S., and more than $10 million in donations came in last year. Officials cut the ribbon on the Knox County facility on Monday, then showed off the state-of-the-art inside. That's according to the National Safety Commission, which also says that this Thanksgiving week is the most traveled holiday period - and 90-percent is cars. So Indiana State Police are once again taking part in the annual Safe Family Travel and Operation Pull Over campaign. Extra officers will be patrolling the roadways, especially on the lookout for dangerous and drunk drivers.

The investigation led police to O'Dell's home, where officers found some of the stolen tools. Police say the 44-year-old was cooperative, and they were able to verify that it was the stolen property in question.

11/23/2013 9:58:00 PMDaniel "Levi" Damron is charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Police say earlier this month, he had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl. Damron teaches health and physical education at Robinson High School, and he's also the head wrestling coach. The 30-year-old is held at the Crawford County, Illinois Jail on $10,000 bond.
