Would You Like Fries With That Award?

Clinton, IL. - Jake Martin, the general manager of the McDonald's in Clinton, received the Ray Kroc Award today.

His family, friends and the community showed up to surprise Martin with the honor.

The award is given to 340 managers, every two years, from around the world.

This is not the first prize Martin has won for his hard work.

We featured him in a story last year when he won a trip from McDonald's to the Rio Olympics.

And this award was like icing on the cake.

"I know this is just a prestigious award. It's an award that is only given to the top one percent to people in this roll," Jake Martin said. "So to be recognized along side all of those great people means that I am doing what I am supposed to. It means that I am on the right track and I am accomplishing things for my customers and my community."

Along with the celebration and a 25 hundred dollar check, Martin will be flown down to Florida in April to officially receive his award.

Martin has worked at the Clinton eatery since he was 16 and has no plans on leaving.
