Woman Jailed After Multi-County Police Pursuit

Parke County, IN - One woman is behind bars after leading police on a multi-county pursuit Thursday night, beginning in Parke County.

On March 8th, shortly before 10 P.M., Parke County Deputies responded to an address at Paradise Bay for a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Upon arriving on the scene, deputies located the vehicle which led to a pursuit when a traffic stop was conducted.

Police followed the vehicle east on US Hwy 36 and then north on US Hwy 231.

After traveling through Putnam and into Montgomery County, the vehicle was stop sticked near the Montgomery County line and the vehicle crashed into a ditch.

The driver, Shannon Kay McMullen, 42, of West Lafayette, (pictured below) was quickly apprehended.

Shannon was arrested and was transported to the Parke County Jail being held on a $10,000 bond with no 10%.

Indiana State Police, Putnam County Deputies and Montgomery County Deputies also assisted at the scene.
