OVER 100 FARMERS AND DISTRIBUTORS GATHERED IN VINCENNES FOR 'MELON FOOD SAFETY- 2012 AND BEYOND.'
    THE PURDUE EXTENSION OFFICE HOSTED THE CONFERENCE... TOPICS INCLUDED SAFE HANDLING PRACTICES... AND DISCUSSION ON PREVENTION AND INVESTIGATION OF FOODBORNE ILLNESS.
    FARMERS FROM ALL OVER THE REGION WERE IN ATTENDANCE... AND RAISING AWARENESS WAS THE GOAL OF THE MEETING.
