Terre Haute, IN. - Spring break is officially here for Vigo County and many other schools in the area.
"We are doing things about Spring you know it's the season and we are celebrating the season," Renee Henry said.
At the Terre Haute Children's Museum crews are planning for a week of fun.
Starting Saturday, kids will have a wide range of hands on activities that keep them entertained and excited about spring.
And the museum is even open on Monday usually a day of rest for the staff.
"It's a great way for multiple generations to come and have an experience to build memories while they are here," Henry said. "So why not do that on Spring Break where maybe grandparents have the kids or mom and dad have some time off can come together with the kids and make memories together."
For folks who are stuck working and need all day child care The Vigo County YMCA will host a week long spring break camp.
"We've got themes for each day so they are going to be doing a lot of fun activities," Ali Weber said.
Students from kindergarten to 8th grade will spend the day playing, making arts and crafts.
There is a cost to attend the camp, but it is open to the public and help is available.
"We do offer financial scholarships for members and non members if somebody feels like I do need that and want my child to go have fun with other people that we know from school from Spring Break camp while I'm at work," Weber said.
From spring break camps to the local museum there's something right here in Terre Haute for every one.
Both the Terre Haute Children's Museum and the YMCA are partnering with the education department at ISU.
ISU Students will be at both locations to lead activities that will be a surprise.
