RHIC Simulation Center Hosts Healthy Halloween Spooktacular

Terre Haute, IN - For kids, Halloween is all about the costumes and candy.

But Monday night, a Terre Haute center educated kids and kids-at-heart about healthy treats.

The Rural Health Innovation Collaborative Simulation Center at Union Hospital was packed with early trick-or-treaters.

Kids and adults came in costumes for the second annual Healthy Halloween Spooktacular.

However, instead of candy, folks here received another treat.

"We are trying to promote healthy habits and healthy eating in children.  We do this during the Halloween season, every year and to do that, we offer healthy treats, fun games, activities health screenings for kids of all ages and adults," says Jake Jaeger, director of RHIC Simulation Center.

Coordinators also scared up tours of the center so folks could see how the simulation equipment educates current and future healthcare professionals.
