Police Find 62 Pounds of Marijuana

Fayette County, IL - Illinois State Police say a trooper patrolling I-70 west of Vandalia discovered 62 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.

The street value is estimated at $150,000.

Police say it happened on October 11 when a trooper pulled over a Toyota Camry for following two closely.

The driver, 24-year-old Youzhen Huang from Philadelphia, PA, was charged with Cannabis Trafficking, Possession of Cannabis, Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis and Calculated Cannabis Conspiracy.

He, along with his passengers Liyang Zhao and Yong Da Huang,  were incarcerated at the Fayette County Jail.

The Fayette County State's Attorney and Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.
