Parke County, IN - One person is behind bars after authorities say they spotted a burglary in progress.
Early Saturday morning, Parke County Deputies were patrolling when they saw a vehicle on County Road 750 near a building.
When the deputies were checking on the vehicle, police say they saw two people running from the building.
One of the suspects, 20-year-old John Smith of Montezuma, was found in a nearby field.
Deputies arrested him on charges of Burglary and Theft.
The second suspect was able to avoid capture.
According to the Parke County Sheriff's Office, deputies determined the suspects had broken into the building and were in the process of loading stolen items into their vehicle when they were spotted.
