Saturday was relay day in Terre Haute.
The "Relay for Life" is the signature event for the American Cancer Society.
Saturday, dozens of teams made up of people from Vigo and Clay counties walked to find a cure for cancer.

The event continues through Sunday morning.
Cancer survivors in attendance will be honored in a special ceremony.

"It is overwhelming the survivors that come out give is so much hope and inspiration. Everyone from folks that have been cancer survivors for years, to folks that have just gotten diagnosed. They're so inspirational their stories are so motivating," Shannon Giles with Terre Haute branch of the American Cancer Society said.

The goal of the event is to raise $70,000.
