More children in the Wabash Valley now have access to fresh milk.

Monday, Prairie Farms donated 500 gallons to Catholic Charities. The company is helping to celebrate June as National Dairy Month by giving away 10,500 gallons to food banks across the Midwest. Jennifer Buell of Catholic Charities says the donation includes 8,000 servings.

"Children who would otherwise be on free and reduced price breakfast and lunch during the school year are now home and it's those same families and those same households who probably don't have enough money, who don't have enough money to provie enough of those good nutritious foods," Buell said.
