The impact of Sunday's string of tornadoes have left some people in Washington, Indiana with nothing.
Residents are still picking up the pieces and have seen a great outpouring of support from the community.
Students from Vincennes Lincoln High School made the trip on Wednesday and offered help where ever it was needed.
Removing downed branches, clearing debris from yards, and filling holes were just a few of the ways they offered assistance.
Tanya Stoll, teaches at Lincoln and said that she had to turn students away due to the number of students that were willing to give their time to help others.

Sarah Phillippe- Senior, Vincennes Lincoln
"I remember sitting in my basement on Sunday and hoping that nothing would happen. When Miss Stoll gave us the opportunity to do this, I was like yeah I really want to do this. This is what I want to be known for, is helping people."

If you are in need of assistance the Salvation Army is set up at the corner of Sycamore and Meridian Streets at The Assembly of God Church.
