A Terre Haute man accused of killing his wife almost 40 years ago is set to go to trial in December. Wednesday Earl Taylor appeared in court following his Tuesday arrest.

He's charged with first degree murder for the 1975 death of his first wife, Kathy. Taylor was charged according to the law at the time of the suspected murder. A conviction carries a life sentence or 45 to 65 years in prison.

Taylor is already a convicted killer. He was sentenced to 60 years in prison for the murder of his second wife, Mindy, in 1987, but was released this past January.
