When students at Terre Haute South head back to class later this month, they'll notice something new on the the school's soccer fields.

Construction on a new shelter for the varsity soccer fields is underway.
It's the brain-child and Eagle Scout project of Evan Keiser.
The structure will protect players from the elements during games and practices.
Keiser is also senior soccer play at South and says he wanted to find a way to leave his mark on the school through this project.

"I wanted to leave my own personal touch on the fields kind of as a thank you present to the fields and the complex here," Keiser said.

The structure is expected to be finished just before the start of school.

And it will definitely be ready for the first soccer game of the season.
