North lost to Castle twice this season in a double header.

Start things off in the first inning here. Austin Hicks got the start for the Patriots, and it was a rough start.

Matt Bertram at the plate for Castle with two runners on. He hits one in the gap to center and that is good enough for a 2 rbi single. The Knights lead 2 nothing.

They weren't done. Will Randell hits a line drive grounder right by third base. Zach Milam cant make a play on it, that lets another run in and the Patriots already trail 3 to nothing after 1 inning of play.

Move to the second inning. North trails 3 nothing and they shoot themselves in the foot on this one. A pitch in the dirt gets by Collette and goes to the back stop. A runner from third comes home for the score and north trails 4 nothing and things dont look good.

But kudos to the Patriots they never stopped battling, and this play changed everything in my opinion. Nick Long with one of the best plays of the day, he comes flying out of air to make the catch to end the inning and North now has a little momentum.

What would they do with it? How about this? Two runners on base for North and Nate Will at the plate. Coach Turner says Will plays with a chip on his shoulder because he is the guy after Collette gets walked. He unloads a full bag of chips with this one. A line drive homer that's a three run shot and all of a sudden North is back in it.

Fast forward to the 5th inning and North still trails by one, but not for much longer.

Cody Maloon with the bases loaded hits one through the infield just past the glove of second base and that scores milam and luke davis and the patriots fight back to take a 5 to 4 lead.

And after that the flood gates were opened. Bases loaded no outs and Chase Jones hits one to the warning track, its caught for the out, but that sacrifice lets Nick Barrett tag up with ease. The Patriots lead 6 to 4.

Same inning just one out. SENIOR JONNY Eilbracht at the plate and he places it right down first baseline. That brings home Lane Dransfield and Brandon Taylor and the Patriots have a five run inning to take the lead 8 to 4. Its so close they can taste it.

The Terre Haute North Patriots are going to state with an 8 to 4 win over Castle.
