It was a very close race for sheriff in Sullivan County in both parties.

Patrick Fulford beat out former Sullivan sheriff, Johnnie Waterman, for the Republican nomination by just 11 votes.

On the other side of the aisle, Vigo County Chief Deputy, Clark Cottom, won the Democratic nomination. Sullivan County Chief Deputy David Haddix trailed him by just 24 votes. Jim Pirtle was just 29 points behind Cottom. Billy Snead came in a distant fourth.
