We're just days away from Women's History Month, and the sisters of providence are already starting celebrations.

Wednesday was the annual Women in Leadership luncheon.

It's now ten years old, but still over 150 of the Wabash Valley's most influential women gathered.

They heard from women's philanthropy expert and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods alum, Angela White.

Those involved say they're grateful for this group coming together.

"Important for us to recognize the gifts that women bring to the professional arena so there's networking that goes on. And really just recognizing leadership because there's a different form of leadership that women exercise and we need to recognize that," said Sister Lisa Stallings, a member of the Sisters of Providence leadership team.

Media relations manager Jason Moon added:  "We are honoring women in the Wabash Valley and the role of leadership they take."

Our own Sydney Benter and Katie Hargitt were proud to represent WTWO/WAWV at the luncheon event.
